Aiyudot Khom is ABOUT 50. It's a Fringe event... and you're the artists. Here's how you can take part. And all of it is free.
Go hunting treasure
Find the ABOUT 50 treasure that's now hidden in the Garden of Unearthly Delights (opening hours - from 5pm weekdays and 10am weekends to 17 March). Here are the clues:
- You don't need to dig or lift or move anything. If you think you need to, you're in the wrong place.
- It's the size of a large biscuit tin (that's because it is a large biscuit tin)
- It's hidden under a step at a bar between the Vagabond and Romantiek tents
- It's very near a tree
- For the high techies, it's located near (but not exactly at) latitude -34.921657 and longitude 138.614024. Copy and paste -34.921657, 138.614024 into the search field on your smart phone maps.
Happy hunting. When you find it, you may not find gold and silver, you'll find materials for you to contribute to a community art piece on life before, at and beyond 50. Go geocaching
If you like a good hunt, then there are hundreds of other little containers hidden all around Adelaide, as part of worldwide hide and seek game called geocaching. Aiyudot Khom has hidden a geocache just across the road from the Garden. Find it by getting a free account at geocaching.com and search for the ABOUT 50 geocache. You can also download Groundspeak's free Geocaching Intro app (which you don't need to set up an account for). If you use this app in the Garden it will show you where the ABOUT 50 geocache is.

ABOUT 50 are part of the opening night Fringe Parade on Friday 15 Feb from 8.30pm.
