This fence art installation is presented on Gibson Street Bowden, between Second and Third Streets.
Working collaboratively with key businesses and groups throughout the Bowden precinct, I am presenting artworks inspired by these organisations that illustrate the unique character of Bowden.
The first artworks celebrated
Cirkidz, the circus school and performing troupe located just down the road from the fence on Fifth Street.
The second artworks showcased
Plant 4, the site of a diversity of fresh produce and maker markets, function and events in the heart of Bowden.
Plant 4
I worked with Plant 4's family business to design the series of seven artworks. Each panel expresses a feature that makes Plant 4 unique. Combined the panels meld together to form the unique fusion that is Plant 4.
Many thanks to Life More Interesting for commissioning this work and to Plant 4 for sharing stories and images of what makes this community hub so special.

Cirkidz
Young artists from Cirkidz's performance program worked with me on the design and installation of these artworks. Each panel expresses a feature that the young artists identified as making Cirkidz unique.
In a design workshop, the young artists responded to two questions: (1) what they most liked to do at Cirkidz and (2) what is special/different about Cirkidz. They then linked their answers together. These linked responses became the design briefs for each of the seven artworks displayed.
