Goodwood and Unley Public Libraries SALA 2017

Aiyudot Khom presented a series of generative artworks at Goodwood and Unley Libraries in August, as part of SALA 2017.

Aiyudot presented 10 generative art videos on the information screens at Goodwood and Unley Libraries. All the artworks have been created on an iPad using Codea - an Adelaide made app that allows users to write and run computer programs.

The artworks explored themes of identity and individuality. 'Daps', for example, explores a world where people are not constrained by stereotypes. 'Imagine' discovers new possibilities for the human form. And in 'Trapped' we witness the power of choice.

Also explored is the aesthetics of randomness. 'Random Poems' creates grammatically valid, if rather odd poems. And 'Tiles' presents randomly created tile patters, inspired by MC Escher.

And 'Forwards and back' is an optical illusion. Sometimes time goes forward. Other times, back.

Aiyudot's generative art videos were presented at the Goodwood and Unley Libraries during August 2017.
